La presentaci\u00f3n del estuvo a cargo del Msc. Ing. Mario Arzamendia, Docente Investigador del Laboratorio de Sistemas Distribuidos (LSD).<!--more-->\nEste trabajo fue desarrollado como una extensi\u00f3n al Trabajo Final de Grado (TFG) recientemente presentado por los Ingenieros Juan Lobo y Miguel Cuenca. Las investigaciones desarrolladas en el LSD fueron realizadas en conjunto con los laboratorios del Centro de Innovaci\u00f3n y Control (CIAC) del Parque Tecnol\u00f3gico Itaipu (PTI) y del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda y Control de la ANDE (Administraci\u00f3n Nacional de Electricidad).\nEl trabajo surgi\u00f3 de una necesidad especifica de la ANDE de modernizar sus sistemas de monitoreo y control (SCADA) de sus subestaciones el\u00e9ctricas para adecuarse a los nuevos modelos de automatizaci\u00f3n de subestaciones basados en la norma IEC61850. Esta norma propone la estandarizaci\u00f3n de los servicios de comunicaci\u00f3n y datos entre dispositivos de protecci\u00f3n y control (Dispositivos Electr\u00f3nicos Inteligentes, IED), permitiendo la interoperabilidad entre equipos de distintos fabricantes, lo que representa una innovaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea.\nEl conversor de protocolos desarrollado obtuvo resultados muy satisfactorios ya que pudo ser testado in situ con dispositivos reales de los laboratorios del PTI y la ANDE. La eventual implementaci\u00f3n de este conversor en las subestaciones de la ANDE representar\u00eda beneficios no solamente econ\u00f3micos sino tambi\u00e9n en ahorro de tiempos de instalaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento, as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n como la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento local en los profesionales del sector.\nDesde el LSD se espera seguir trabajando en la misma l\u00ednea, y poder extender los conceptos de esta nueva norma a los trabajos realizados por el Laboratorio de Sistemas de Potencia y Control (LSPyC) en el \u00e1rea de Energ\u00edas Renovables;
