Este libro, recopila las \u00faltimas tendencias enfocadas en las aplicaciones, el control y el diagnostico preventivo de fallas de motores de inducci\u00f3n convencionales (monof\u00e1sicos y trif\u00e1sicos) y multif\u00e1scos (m\u00e1s de tres fases).\u00a0<!--more-->\nInvestigadores de la\u00a0<strong>Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FIUNA)<\/strong> han aportado el resultado de sus investigaciones en un cap\u00edtulo espec\u00edfico denominado <em>\u201cReduced-order Observer Analysis in MBPC Techniques Applied to the Six-phase Induction Motor Drives,\u00bb<\/em>. El cap\u00edtulo realiza un an\u00e1lisis exhaustivo del control predictivo de corriente aplicado a un motor de inducci\u00f3n de seis fases, utilizando observadores de estados de orden reducido. Con la incorporaci\u00f3n de los observadores de estado se ha logrado una mejora significativa en las prestaciones din\u00e1micas del controlador predictivo de corriente, demostrando as\u00ed su viabilidad potenciando adem\u00e1s el inter\u00e9s en su implementaci\u00f3n experimental principalmente en aplicaciones donde se requiere elevada potencia y alta fiabilidad como es el caso de las aplicaciones en tracci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica (sistemas ferroviarios y veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos) y m\u00e1s recientemente en aplicaciones de energ\u00edas renovables (centrales hidr\u00e1ulicas y aerogeneradores). El trabajo desarrollado en la FIUNA se ha constituido como un claro aporte para la comunidad cient\u00edfica internacional que desarrolla sus investigaciones en esta tem\u00e1tica.\nEl trabajo fue desarrollado por un equipo de investigadores locales conformados por: el Prof. Dr. Ra\u00fal Gregor y el Prof. MSc. Jorge Rodas adscritos al Laboratorio de Sistemas de Potencia y Control (LSPyC) de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FIUNA),\u00a0 el Dr. Derlis Gregor del Laboratorio de Sistemas Distribuidos (LSD) de la FIUNA y el Dr. Federico Barrero de la Universidad de Sevilla, Espa\u00f1a.
