{"id":40403,"date":"2019-11-18T08:35:53","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T12:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ing.una.py\/?p=40403"},"modified":"2019-11-18T08:35:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T12:35:53","slug":"equipo-de-investigadores-de-la-fiuna-y-del-experimento-connie-publican-articulo-en-prestigiosa-revista-de-fisica-de-altas-energias","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ing.una.py\/FIUNA3\/?p=40403","title":{"rendered":"Equipo de Investigadores de la FIUNA y del Experimento CONNIE publican art\u00edculo en prestigiosa Revista de F\u00edsica de Altas Energ\u00edas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><![CDATA[El 13 de noviembre del presente a\u00f1o, en la<strong> Revista <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prd\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevD.100.092005\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PHYSICAL REVIEW D<\/a>,<\/strong> una de las m\u00e1s prestigiosas en el \u00e1rea de la F\u00edsica de Altas Energ\u00edas <em>(High Energy Physics),<\/em> fue publicado recientemente el Art\u00edculo <em>\u00abExploring low-energy neutrino physics with the Coherent Neutrino Nucleus Interaction Experiment\u00bb<\/em> donde el grupo de instrumentaci\u00f3n del <strong>Laboratorio de Mec\u00e1nica y Energ\u00eda de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FIUNA)<\/strong> tuvo una destacada participaci\u00f3n.<!--more-->\n\n\n<blockquote>El an\u00e1lisis de los datos a altas y bajas energ\u00edas demuestra que el sistema de medici\u00f3n se comporta de acuerdo a lo esperado, lo que implica que sabemos que lo que estamos midiendo est\u00e1 correcto destac\u00f3 el <strong>Dr. Jorge Molina<\/strong>, uno de los fundadores del experimento CONNIE e Investigador de la FIUNA.<\/blockquote>\n\n\nLa FIUNA fue responsable de la realizaci\u00f3n de todas las simulaciones de los eventos, lo que sirvi\u00f3 para demostrar que los datos tomados por los detectores de CCD instalados en las proximidades del reactor nuclear de ANGRA 2 son bien entendidos.\n\n\n<h3>Abstract<\/h3>\n\n\nThe Coherent Neutrino-Nucleus Interaction Experiment (CONNIE) uses low-noise fully depleted charge-coupled devices (CCDs) with the goal of measuring low-energy recoils from coherent elastic scattering (<span id=\"MathJax-Element-2-Frame\" class=\"mjx-chtml MathJax_CHTML\" tabindex=\"0\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-7\" class=\"mjx-math\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-8\" class=\"mjx-mrow\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-9\" class=\"mjx-mrow\"><span id=\"MJXc-Node-10\" class=\"mjx-mi\"><span class=\"mjx-char MJXc-TeX-main-R\">CE<\/span><\/span><span id=\"MJXc-Node-11\" class=\"mjx-mi MJXc-space1\"><span class=\"mjx-char MJXc-TeX-math-I\">\u03bd<\/span><\/span><span id=\"MJXc-Node-12\" class=\"mjx-mi MJXc-space1\"><span class=\"mjx-char MJXc-TeX-main-R\">NS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>) of reactor antineutrinos with silicon nuclei and testing nonstandard neutrino interactions (NSI). We report here the first results of the detector array deployed in 2016, considering an active mass 47.6\u00a0g (eight CCDs), which is operating at a distance of 30\u00a0m from the core of the Angra 2 nuclear reactor, with a thermal power of 3.8\u00a0GW. A search for neutrino events is performed by comparing data collected with the reactor on (2.1\u00a0kg-day) and reactor off (1.6\u00a0kg-day). The results show no excess in the reactor-on data, reaching the world record sensitivity down to recoil energies of about 1\u00a0keV (0.1\u00a0keV electron equivalent). A 95%\u00a0confidence level limit for new physics is established at an event rate of 40 times the one expected from the standard model at this energy scale. The results presented here provide a new window to low-energy neutrino physics, allowing one to explore for the first time the energies accessible through the low threshold of CCDs.
