Roberto Rojas Holden<\/strong>, docente de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FIUNA),<\/strong> public\u00f3 un art\u00edculo de investigaci\u00f3n en la revista especializada de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda \u00abAtena Editora<\/a>\u00bb <\/strong>denominado \u00abNEW CONTRIBUTIONS REGARDING THE MECHANISM OF ADHESION AND STRENGTH IN TRADITIONAL CERAMICS\u00bb. <\/strong>\n\nEl mismo es un trabajo realizado en la FIUNA con la colaboraci\u00f3n del Instituto Nacional de Tecnolog\u00eda, Normalizaci\u00f3n y Metrolog\u00eda (INTN), la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias de la UNA, la Facultad Polit\u00e9cnica de la UNA, Yguaz\u00fa Cementos y la Universidad de Tulsa – USA.\n\n\n\n

Abstract:<\/h3>\n\n\n\nThe research project will allow to understand the operation of physical mechanism of clay adherence to sand during the process of kneading, drying and firing in manufacturing ceramics, \u00a0in order to lead to a contribution to the theory that explains the interactions of both phases and how they work to achieve mechanical \u00a0properties and little absorption, important requirements for the quality of these products, some of them structural. Raw material is obtained from deposits that are used to manufacture ceramics in the Western (Paraguayan Chaco) \u00a0and Eastern Regions of Paraguay and with these materials half brick test tubes \u00a0both of solid \u00a0and hollow \u00a0ceramic bricks submitted to \u00a0drying and firing temperature processes interrupting said process according to proposed temperature each 150\u00b0 C up to 750\u00b0 and from then on \u00a0each 50\u00b0 up to 900\u00b0 or 1200\u00b0C \u00a0according to the mineralogic composition of raw material, in order to continue studying macroscopically and microscopically and \u00a0validate the theoretical contribution that we seek to verify in \u00a0the aforementioned theory. Using techniques such as XRD, SEM, among others.
