Una afecci\u00f3n a la salud que ha ocasionado millones de muertes debido a que al iniciar la pandemia no exist\u00edan f\u00e1rmacos eficaces para tratarla. La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ha declarado al COVID-19, la enfermedad causada por el virus del SARS-CoV-2, como pandemia, el 11 de Marzo del 2020.\n\nEnfermedades infecciosas emergentes como el COVID-19, causado por el virus SARS-CoV-2, requieren de estrategias sistem\u00e1ticas que ayuden al descubrimiento de curas y tratamientos. El reposicionamiento de f\u00e1rmacos, el proceso de b\u00fasqueda de nuevas indicaciones terap\u00e9uticas para los f\u00e1rmacos comercializados, es una alternativa prometedora al desarrollo de nuevos f\u00e1rmacos, con menores costos y tiempos de desarrollo m\u00e1s cortos. En este estudio se propone un sistema de recomendaci\u00f3n llamado <em>\u00abGeometric confidence non-negative matrix factorization (GcNMF)\u00bb<\/em> para asistir en el reposicionamiento de f\u00e1rmacos antivirales de amplio espectro.\n\nGcNMF modela la estructura no-euclidiana de los f\u00e1rmacos mediante el uso de grafos y produce una lista priorizada de f\u00e1rmacos para virus espec\u00edficos. Los experimentos revelan que GcNMF posee un rendimiento de predicci\u00f3n superior a otros m\u00e9todos de descomposici\u00f3n matricial.
