egresados y docentes de la carrera de <strong>Ingenier\u00eda Geogr\u00e1fica y Ambiental de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional de Asunci\u00f3n (FIUNA)<\/strong> participaron en el <strong>MENA Earth Systems Sciences Congress \u2013 MESC 2026<\/strong>, con la presentaci\u00f3n de trabajos cient\u00edficos desarrollados en el \u00e1rea de an\u00e1lisis territorial, gesti\u00f3n ambiental y tecnolog\u00edas geoespaciales aplicadas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El congreso internacional fue organizado por<strong> IEREK \u2013 International Experts for Research Enrichment and Knowledge Exchange<\/strong> y se desarroll\u00f3 del 28 al 30 de abril de 2026 en la ciudad de Roma, Italia, contando con participaci\u00f3n presencial y virtual de investigadores de distintos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<p>Los trabajos presentados corresponden a investigaciones y tesis de grado vinculadas a problem\u00e1ticas ambientales y territoriales del Paraguay, utilizando herramientas de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n Geogr\u00e1fica (SIG), percepci\u00f3n remota, an\u00e1lisis espacial e inteligencia artificial aplicada.<\/p>\n<h4>\ud83d\udcc4 Trabajos presentados:<\/h4>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <em>Analysis of the urban heat island effect and its relationship with urban growth in the Municipality of Coronel Oviedo<\/em> (2003\u20132023)<br Monserrat Garcia-Calabrese y Regina Ovelar-Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <em>Optimal location of containers for the management of municipal solid household waste in Nueva Italia, Paraguay<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Autores:<\/strong> Sofia Arce, Victor Leiva, Nestor Cabral, Federico Ferreira, Rodrigo Mussi y Monserrat Garcia-Calabrese.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcd6 Los trabajos aceptados ser\u00e1n publicados en la serie cient\u00edfica internacional<strong> ASTI \u2013 Advances in Science, Technology &amp; Innovation de Springer Nature<\/strong>, correspondiente a proceedings indexados de alcance internacional.<\/p>\n<p>La participaci\u00f3n en este congreso representa un importante aporte a la visibilidad internacional de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica desarrollada en la FIUNA y evidencia el compromiso de estudiantes, egresados y docentes con la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento aplicado a la gesti\u00f3n ambiental, territorial y urbana del Paraguay.<br \/>\n<div
